200 Nigerian students get APM Terminals' scholarships, job offers

APM Terminals Apapa Limited has within the last four years awarded scholarships to 200 Nigerian students, with employment opportunities on graduation.

No fewer than 200 Nigerian students have been offered scholarships by the APM Terminals Apapa Limited in the last four years.

This was revealed by the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Andrew Dawes, while presenting scholarship to 50 students in the latest set of beneficiaries

He said the port and inland services company said the purpose of the scholarship is to help the awardees acquire excellent training.

"The scheme will afford beneficiaries the opportunity to acquire excellent training and development with our company," he said.

Dawes added that the company could also employ the beneficiaries.

“The beneficiaries who did their internship with us also have the opportunity to join the company after graduation.”

A student of the Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, Abraham Okhale, who received one of the scholarships said he acquired exposure and experience during the internship.

“The experience helped me immensely when I returned to school after the industrial attachment," he said.

APM Terminals Apapa is one of two terminal facilities operated by APM Terminals in Nigeria.
