While addressing journalists in Jos, Prof. Lawan Abubakar, the coordinator of ASUU, Bauchi Zone rejected the N20bn the Federal Government released to ASUU to improve public universities across the country on Monday, September 24, 2018.
Abubakar said “what will N20bn do for the 64 public universities in this country? What we want now is the N1.1tn. That is the amount that the government should release; not the N20bn”.
This is coming following the ASUU president's announcement that the union is still waiting for approval from its executives and trustees to join the nationwide strike.
