Mother of 11 poisoned by in-law after converting to Christianity

The couple and their 11 kids were constantly threatened by local Muslims because of they converted.

An Islamic teacher and sheikh-Mugoya Muhammad, his wife-Namumbeiza Swabura and their 11 children, chose to convert to Christianity, after they were ministered to by an evangelist, and all hell broke loose in their community.

Reports reaching us says that the couple and their 11 kids were constantly threatened by local Muslims because of they converted.

To carry out their threat, Swabura’s sister in-law, poisoned her through a meal known in Uganda as Matoke, which consists of cooked plantains.

Our source in the area reported saying "We suspect that Muhammad's sister, Jafaran Wowa, was given a lot of money to carry out the heinous act. This was a deadly drug, like rat poison or Bromethalin."

According to Muhammad, the dead woman’s husband, 'We are fearing for our lives as the Muslims are threatening to kill us if we continue in Christianity.'

The couple’s pastor, James Kalaja of New Hope Church in Nabuli says he has also received threats to his life.

Namumbeiza Swabura has since been buried.
