Children stage peaceful protest in Kaduna

Months after the leader of the Shiite Movement was arrested, his followers keep asking for his release.

Children of the Shiite Islamic Movement in Nigeria have taken to the streets of Kaduna, Nigeria protesting the continued detention of their leader.

The children, who were guided by their parents, held placards with inscriptions ‘Free El-Zakzaky’.

The leader of the Shiite Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky has not been granted access to his lawyers since he was arrested with his wife over a clash with the Nigeria Military.

A judicial commission of inquiry setup by government to look into the December attacks on Monday adjourned for the fifth time without clue of where the leader is being held.

During the protest yesterday March 14, 2016, the youngsters kept chanting, “Free our leader, Free Sheik El-Zakzaky”
