Ayairga's name was said to have been initially put out on the list of the dead as Samuel A. Wilson, but friends who saw the video and recognised him.

According to Daily Guide Ghana, as at the time of filing this report, Ghanaian officials were still trying to ascertain the veracity of the report from the mission in Tripoli.

The young man, whose age is not yet known, was said to be a construction worker in the Libya City of Sirte where the killings took place.

Reports say he was travelling to Tripoli from Ghana when he was arrested somewhere in January 2015.

Several hours after the video was released, Egypt retaliated with series of airstrikes on ISIS targets in Libya.
