Vanguard reports that he made this appeal during the ordination of Ikechi Amechi and Ada Amechi of Jesus the Crown of Glory Ministries, as Reverend Pastors, in Lagos last Sunday.

The clergyman, while encouraging Nigerian leaders, said, “For the people in leadership of our nation Nigeria to succeed, there must be humility in walking with God. They should be courageous in doing and fulfilling the purpose for which God has called them to do which is leading the people right.

They should not be intimidated by any political class or tribal sentiment. They should see themselves as servants of God and should not bear the rod in vain.”

He explained attributed the hard times Nigerians are facing to not being diligent in following God's principles.

“Hardship is common with man and some of these hardships have their good place because they help to draw us close to God. When we come into hardship, it is a sign that something is missing. It is a sign that we have left God, but when we return to him, things are bound to change.

Nigeria will be healed when we walk humbly before him and he will heal us. There will be restoration in the land. God has what it takes to bless a nation and make it prosper but we must turn to God and turn away from our wicked ways and pursue him in righteousness,” he said.
