Obanikoro had earlier described the elections as a sham and accused the PDP leadership of doctoring the outcome.

Former Minister of State for Defence and Lagos Governorship aspirant, Musiliu Obanikoro has instituted legal proceedings against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Jimi Agbaje over the conduct of the party’s primary elections.

Obanikoro had earlier described the elections as a sham and accused the party’s leadership of doctoring the outcome.

He said via Twitter:

“The 48 hours timeline stipulated by the PDP Electoral Guideline to address our appeal has elapsed without a response from the party.”

“In the light of this development, we have proceeded to the Federal High Court, Abuja to seek redress.”

“I urge all our teeming supporters to remain steadfast. We will pursue this to a logical conclusion and justice will be done!” he tweeted.

Obanikoro raised concerns over the results of the polls after 864 votes were recorded when only 806 delegates voted.
