According to the ICPC boss, 40 vehicles were recovered from some Retired officials of the Ministry of Water Resources.
The vehicles were recovered from former officials of the Ministry of Water Resources and the defunct Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme.
The Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ekpo Nta, disclosed this when the House of Representatives Committee on Anti-Corruption visited the ICPC headquarters in Abuja.
According to a statement by the ICPC spokesman, Mr. Rasheedat Okoduwa, Nta told the lawmakers that the vehicles were recovered during the winding down of the activities of the defunct SURE-P by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
The ICPC boss explained that the recovery of the vehicles is an indication of the resolve of the commission to tackle the various manifestations of corrupt practices perpetrated by some government officials.
Nta said 40 vehicles were recovered from some Retired officials of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Akinloye Babajide said that the essence of the visit is for his committee to have a better knowledge of what the ICPC is doing and to offer support where necessary.
