In 2013, Carol King played the queen mother in a modern cinematic adaptation of Ola Rotimi's "The God’s Are Not To Blame."
In an interview with Jara, the actress had revealed that she had to lose weight to fit into the character of a queen dating a young man old enough to be her son.
In a 2014 interview with Pulse Nigeria, the talented actor revealed that he had to add extra weight to successfully interpret his role as the Makinde Esho (Mr M) in the 2012 romantic comedy "The Meeting."
"I became three times this weight. I had to make my cheeks big. I had to do a lot of practice and learn how to talk like a 47-50-year-old man," he said.
He won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2015 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for his character, Mr M.

In 2014, RMD's drastic weight loss was a major subject of discussion on various social media platfforms.
In a recent interview with Punch, the actor revealed he had lost 20kg for his role in the 2016 movie "Oloibiri."
The movie stars the actor as Boma AKA Gunpowder, the leader of a militant group.
“Before we went on set for this movie, I was weighing 120kg and after the movie I reduced to 100kg which means I have lost a lot of weight on the set for this movie," he said.
Ronke Odusanya revealed that she had to gain weight for the character Victoria Macaulay in the TV series "Closets."
"There are also some roles that determine how you look and I had to get a little bigger because of the character of Victoria Macaulay in the new TV series, and immediately I got back, I started working on my size again," she said in an interview with Goldmyne.
