Rapper wants criminal record dropped for good

Kanye West has reportedly filed legal papers asking a judge to wipe out his misdemeanor battery convictions from his record.

The father of two's decision comes after completing a 24-month probation for beating up a paparazzi in June 2013. Kanye was charged with two misdemeanors in September over the altercation with Daniel Ramos at the Los Angeles International Airport.

As we earlier reported, the 'Power' rapper pleaded no contest in court to the criminal battery and attempted grand theft charges. But was sentenced to 24-months' probation and asked to complete 240 hours of community service and 24 anger management sessions.

Kim Kardashian's hubby ended his community service and went above his required hours at LA Trade Tech's fashion school, while he has stayed clear of any further charges during his probation period.

TMZ reports that Kanye is now eligible to have his record expunged and has already filed legal papers. A judge has yet to rule on the request.
