Samsung Galaxy Note 7

So far, all the noise around the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is an awesome phone if huge phones are your thing. However, it seems there is some danger to all that awesomeness - the device is reportedly prone to exploding.

Yes, Samsung's flagship Galaxy Note 7 device has been reported to be prone to catching fire and exploding while charging.

These reports come courtesy of Reuters and the Korea Herald, and they have also reported that the Korean company is halting all shipments of the Galaxy Note 7 to conduct additional safety and quality checks.

With nearly half a million shipments already out of Samsung's factories, the Note 7 is already certified as hit amongst consumers, but two users have already reported their phones catching fire while charging.

Of course, the Note 7 is not the first phone this has happened to - in fact, it has probably happened to every smartphone out there you can think of. However, history has shown that it could also just mean that the problem is with the charger, cable or wall socket.

Samsung is yet to put out an official statement concerning the reported explosions but it has halted shipments for the device.

If you have been waiting for the phone to be launched in Nigeria, you might just have to wait longer.
