Digital printing company has been accepted into 500Startups' latest batch

The online print company joins payments processing companies Paystack and Flutterwave on the gradually growing list of Nigerian startups getting into Silicon Valley accelerator programmes.

Printivo, the online print shop that lets you design and order print and marketing material, has gotten into 500Startups.

500Startups is a Silicon Valley-based early-stage venture fund and seed accelerator founded by Dave McClure and Christine Tsai in 2010.

Printivo, founded by Oluyomi Ojo, is part of the 20th batch of startups admitted into the 500Startups accelerator programme.

The online print company also joins payments processing companies Paystackand Flutterwaveon the gradually growing list of Nigerian startups getting into Silicon Valley accelerator programmes.

A third of the latest batch of startups accepted into the 500Startups programme are from outside the US which says a lot about the accelerators willingness to even out opportunities and expand its investment reach.

In 2016, Monique Woodard, a Venture Partner at 500Startups was in Nigeria for the Ingressive and Starta-organised High Growth Africa Summit.

Earlier this year, Printivo was profiled on CNN adding to the many accolades the company has gotten over the last few years as it continues to gain dominance over the Nigerian online print industry.

Founder Oluyomi Ojo is yet to respond to request for a comment on Printivo's latest milestone at the time of publsihing but this article will be updated as soon as one comes through.
