Students launch Twitter campaign to fight comment against Muslims

he online campaign which is trending mostly on twitter is called #NotSafeUNC.

University of North Carolina

To counter what seems like a “Hate Speech” Houston Summers-President of the University of North Carolina student body said "These accusations are harmful not only to members of these organisations but also to our community as a whole.”

Also, In a swift reaction to the comment made by David Horowitz saying that members of the Muslim Students Association and Students for Justice in Palestine have links to terrorist groups, students of  University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill have launched an online campaign to air their grievances.

The online campaign which is trending mostly on twitter is called #NotSafeUNC.

In a bid to get more students to participate in the online campaign, organisers say the campaign is beyond the comment made against the Arab and Muslim students. They say they ware fighting for the rights of every student who have been marginalised in one way or the other.
