Tech giant's daily planner/to-do, Hangouts app down worldwide!

Pulse Tech first got wind of the outage via Twitter and subsequent checks on Facebook and other social media platforms confirmed the reports.

Error Message on Google Calendar for Desktop

Google Calendar, the daily planner, to-do app baked into almost every Google app, and its social media-type Hangouts app are down across the globe.

Users first started reporting the issue around 2:40pm West African Time (WAT) with various issues ranging from glitches to the desktop website being completely unavailable.

For Hangouts, it seems to be fine on desktop but the mobile is also down as well.

Pulse Tech first got wind of the outage via Twitter and subsequent checks on Facebook and other social media platforms confirmed the reports.

Other reports also confirm that Google Calendar is down on both desktop and mobile. So far there have not been any reports of the outage affecting other Google apps.

There has been no statement from Google concerning the outage yet, and there is no indication of when the application will be back online.

UPDATE: The Google Calendar and Hangouts apps for both mobile and desktop are now back online. Google has not given a statement on what caused the apps to go down. Pulse Tech will keep you updated.
