Google just made is easier to respond to your emails

Smart Reply uses the same natural language processing algorithms that Google uses to check for malware/spam and correct your spelling.

Google is rolling out Smart Reply to over 1 billion users of Gmail on Android and iOS. The feature uses Google's machine learning capabilities to respond to emails for you.

A new update on Google’s Gmail app, one of the most popular — if not the most popular — email apps in the world, could now answer those questions for you. Smart Reply is now available for Android and iOS.

Smart Reply uses the same natural language processing algorithms that Google uses to check for malware/spam and correct your spelling to read through the content of an email and determine three appropriate responses.

Once you get three responses, you can choose to select one to send immediately or decided to tailor the response to make it more personal or relevant.

Like any other machine learning software, Smart Reply gets smarter the more you use it. As it learns more about you, it will start to adapt your personal style and nuances to your suggested replies.

Google’s Inbox and Allo messaging app already had this feature since 2015 but Gmail users now have it as well. And if you aren’t interested in the AI revolution, you can simply disable Smart Reply in the settings section of the Gmail app.
