You will now be able to add subtitles to your Live videos

From now on, if your caption setting is turned on, Facebook’s speech recognition technology will automatically put up closed captions on your Live video.

From now on, if your caption setting is turned on, Facebook’s speech recognition technology will automatically put up closed captions on your Live video where applicable.

Facebook says, over the past year, daily watch time for Facebook Live broadcasts has grown by more than four times and that 1 in every 5 videos on Facebook is a Live broadcast.

Prior to this, you could already add captions to your non-live videos (if you didn’t know this before) provided you are uploading the video to a Page.

Facebook’s blurb on the new captions for Live video feature has a lot of “to help deaf people” talk, but Pulse Tech is interested to know what you think. Do you know wht Facebook LIve is? Do you use it?
