Monarch accuses Army of terrorising people of Gbaramatu kingdom

He said Fishermen have been forced to stay home out of fear of being harassed by the soldiers.

Gbenekama also alleged that students and fishermen are constantly being harassed by the soldiers deployed to the area.

The royal father also said fishermen have been forced to stay home out of fear, because the military personnel stationed their boats around the community.

According to Vanguard, Gbenekama  also said “There is a serious Internally Displaced Persons, IDP situation in Gbaramatu Kingdom, sitting in your palatial houses in Abuja and other state capitals without concern for the dying people of Gbaramatu kingdom is unfortunate. The international community should also come to our aid, for we are dying. The right to education has been taken away from the people of Gbaramatu because most of our schools are the targets of intimidation by the military.”

Meanwhile, a group of Niger Delta militants bombed a crude oil pipeline located in Warri, Delta State on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
