Solid minerals can surpass revenue generated from crude oil

The country has a high collection of mineral resources which it has not tapped into.

Governor of Kaduna, El Rufai

The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture has made known its belief that an exploration of the solid mineral potential of Nigeria can beat the revenue generated from crude oil.

An announcement was made in Lagos in respect to its 37 Trade Fair to be held in Kaduna.

Though the country has a high collection of mineral resources, it has not tapped into what could become a game changer for Nigeria’s economy.

Instead it has mainly depended on the export of crude oil.

The Second Deputy President of KADCCIMA, Hajiya Muheeba Dankaka, while promoting the Trade Fair, disclosed that the theme shall be , “Promoting solid minerals sector for sustainable economic development in Nigeria.”

“The theme was deliberately chosen to complement the efforts of the government in its attempt to diversify the economy and make it less dependent on oil as its major revenue earner.”

Industrialists, manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors and marketers, both within and outside Nigeria are being contacted for the event.
