Zenith bank boss, Umaru Ibrahim, others get banking recognition

Jim Ovia and Umaru Ibrahim have been rewarded for their contribution to the Nigerian banking industry at the BusinessDay Banking Awards.

The banking giants were rewarded by the organisers of the award with the outstanding achievement in banking and leadership award for depositor banking industry.

While Ovia was awarded the outstanding banking guru of the year, Ibrahim was awarded for the efforts of his Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation led bank.

Ovia and Ibrahim were represented by their aides at the event which also had in attendance ex-Deputy Gov of Lagos State, Femi Pedro and ex-Minister, Nike Akande.

The awards ceremony held at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, September 10, 2016 with several bank representatives in attendance.
