As the April 1st deadline for the installation of Speed Limit Devices (SLD) approaches, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is doing everything to ensure total compliance.

According to the FRSC Marshal,  Boboye Oyeyemi, these courts will be used exclusively to try people without SLDs.

While making this announcement on Monday, February 29th, Oyeyemi said this is to ensure that everyone installs these devices, adding that it is for the interest of the people.

He also revealed the commission's intention to arrest owners of haulage vehicles, with records of reckless driving and killing of innocent road users.

The installation of these SLDs is expected to reduce the high rate of road traffic crashes.

AIT reports that these mobile courts will resume from April 1st, 2016.
