Anambra sector says it has convicted 596 motorists, arrested 616 traffic offenders within 3 months

The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Anambra is revealing the huge number of arrests and convictions made in three months.

The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Anambra has announced the number of arrests and convictions made by the agency.

According to the sector commander, Mr Sunday Ajayi, 616 traffic offenders have been arrested, while 596 motorists have been convicted for various offences in it's mobile courts convicted, all within three months.

"The offenders were tried in six units of the command, while 20 motorists were found not guilty of their charges."

He attributed this increase in arrests and conviction to increased patrol activities in the state, while noting that the rate of accident-related deaths has reduced.
