This reality star just shared a graphic photo of her breast-reduction surgery

Who says Vanderpump Rules can't be educational? One of the stars, Stassi Schroeder, showed a revealing photo of her breast-reduction surgery on Monday night's episode that got people talking about this common procedure.

(If you haven't seen the Bravo hit, the reality show centers around a good-looking group of men and women in their twenties and thirties who work together, sleep with each other, and fight. There have been butt tattoos, slapping incidents, and guys whipping off their shirts in parking lots to prepare for fights that never happen. It's gold.)

On Monday's episode, when asked to try on outfits for the Pride Parade & Festival in Los Angeles, Stassi showed her boss, Lisa Vanderpump, a photo of her chest mid-surgery, when only one breast had been completed. In the photo, you can see that one is much larger than the other you could say she's got the ultimate before and after shot.

The 29-year-old reality vixen has been open about her breast-reduction surgery. In October, she posted a photo to Instagram showing some major underboob post-surgery and how she has the scars to go with it. Scars on FLEEK, she captioned.

She posted a similar photo yesterday in reference to the Pump Rules episode. Yup, Tonight's episode featured a photo of my body halfway through my breast reduction. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Shout out to @drjimmyfirouz because if you thought I was a narcissist before, well then he's explained that her decision to go under the knife was because her too-large chest was painful.

It's back pain, and I started bleeding the other day when I was working out because of my sports bra, so I have scabs. It's too uncomfortable and they are so saggy, they look like two tube socks with change in them," she said on Bravo in 2015.

Breast reduction is a procedure to remove excess fat, glandular tissue, and skin, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). In 2016, 39,148 patients received breast-reduction surgery, according to the ASPS. (On the flipside, over 290,000 people got breast implants, aka boob jobs.) One of the factors that makes someone eligible for surgery is that they have back, neck, or shoulder pain due to their large breasts, as well as skin irritation underneath boobs or indentations in your shoulders from bra straps.

Applause hands for Stassi for being so candid. She may bare all her dirt on reality TV, but being authentic about a change like that is pretty courageous.
