Hours after she said 'I do' at the registry David slumped and died of coronary heart disease

A bride who was marrying the man of her dreams didn't know she'll be losing another important man in her life a few hours later.

33-yr-old Alice O'Sullivan from Windsor married her partner of eight years Mark in a registry office on May 24, 2014.

The bride told her 60-yr-old father, David Trimming, not to bother walking her down the isle as she was planning a bigger wedding in Sardinia, Italy in two weeks, where her dad was going to play a major role.

Unfortunately, hours after she said 'I do' at the registry David slumped and died of coronary heart disease.

"One minute he was there, and the next he was gone.

"Dad was never ill; he didn't even get a cough or cold, so it was a massive shock. He used to walk to the pub or town and he wasn't overweight – he was just 14 stone.

"He smoked for twenty five years but quit ten years before he died and never touched a cigarette again", Alice told UK Express.

Only 15 guests were invited to the small wedding including the bride's dad, his partner Trish and her younger sister Louisa, the group sipped champagne and ate little snacks after exchange of vows.

They all went to celebrate at the local restaurant and ate the finest meal. The bride and groom with their three children decided to call it night when tragedy struck.

"I kissed my dad goodbye and left everyone at the pub.

"The next morning I texted my dad to ask him about a leak we had discovered in the downstairs bathroom.

"He didn't reply and it's not like him not to reply, but I had no reason to worry so I left it", Alice said.

The couple had prepared a meal to celebrate with their family the next morning but had no idea that Trimming had died the night before.
