Henry Cavill Looked to Superman for Football Inspo

Henry Cavill recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and he explained how Superman influenced his choice of a favorite football team.
He's frequently shared images on Instagram rocking Kansas City Chiefs gear.
Cavill also opened up about doing stunts for The Witcher.

There's been a lot of discussion about whether or not Henry Cavill will get to reprise his role as Superman, as he hasn't suited up as Mr. Clark Kent since 2017's Justice League. Some fans believe that Cavill's time as Superman is up, especially after it was announced that Robert Pattinson is DC's new Batman, and an entertainment site reported that Warner Bros. is looking to replace Cavill with a younger look alike.

But despite of all this, the British actor told Men's Health that he's more than ready to put on his superhero cape again, and a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmy Live! proves that Cavill truly is still thinking like Superman.

Cavill told Kimmel that he's recently become a fan of American footballbut when he needed help picking a favorite team, he decided to look to his character for some inspiration:

"I spend a lot of time over here, obviously. And I'd been watching some American football. I started to like the sport, and I realized I had to choose a team. And the only way I could choose a team was with something that was never going to change. It wasn't gonna be, 'My buddy likes this team' or whatever it may be.

I figured, the one thing that won't ever change in my life is the Superman aspect of it. And I figured Superman is from Kansas, the Chiefs, people in Kansas support the Chiefs. It just all added up."

Cavill also opened up about his new series, The Witcher , and he explained why it's so important for him to do his own stunts. "For me, it's really important that the character exists within the action as well, rather than just an acting scene, and then you have an action scene which is completely separate, then you're back to the acting again, Cavill said. "It's really important that the story and the character travel through all those things."
