See this funny No-Nonsense Guide to losing weight in Nigeria

A website broke down the calories in Nigerian food and it's hilarious!

Fit Nigerian is a platform "all about the simplest, safest and fastest strategies for you to get the body you've always desired (while getting healthier in the process)." The hilarious post was put up to demystify the process of weight loss.

Femi Oja, the founder of Fit Nigerian, emphasized that weightloss is only about consuming less calories than your body needs. He says that as a Nigerian, you do not have to eat salad and water to lose weight.

He wrote: "You can lose weight eating pounded yam, , eba…. And every other Nigerian food as far as you eat LESS than your daily calorie maintenance level."

He further went on to break down popular Nigerian meals like garri, fufu and indomie with the calories they contain and how much exercise is needed to expend those calories. The exercises he used though — two hours of "shoki dancing", one hour of "chasing chickens" — are so hilarious, we had to share them.
