The show is a nationwide search to find and crown the best amateur baker in South Africa. 12 of the best amateur bakers are ready to prove their worth by scaling through a number of challenging tasks.
This competition show is creative and it is a source of inspiration and entertainment as the amateurs bakers strive to impress the judges by showing with originality and skill.
Each of the contestants hopes to bake their way to the final. They are given a theme to work with, and they must deliver a culinary creation that is mouth-watering.

After nine weeks of intense competition, only one of the bakers can be declared winner. The 12 contestants are from varying professions and states.
The mix of contestants range from Johannesburg housewives and a domestic worker, to an economist, to a scientist doing crop modelling, to a psychologist, electrician and correctional officer.
The judges are Shirley Guy and Tjaart Walraven while the presenters are comedians Anne Hirsch and Donovan Goliath.
The second series of the show will begin on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
