Maki Oh presented a timeless collection of her most amazing pieces yet at the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week Day 2 which brought it even bigger names just like the day 1 at the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino.
From Maki Oh to Orange Culture, Ejiro Amos Tafiri and more, again the runway was lit with Nigerian designers showcasing their best works.
Easily one of the best presentation so far, it's easy to see why Maki Oh remains one of the world's most sought after brands because of her slightly edgy, confident and unique pieces.
Starting off the presentation with Amaka Osakwe's fond childhood story of her mother's errand punishment, making her go from house to house in search of an 'elephant' ('Arodan') the collection was built around her African roots which reflected in the prints on major pieces.
Models were a sight of ultimate sophistication as they captivated the audience's hearts in cage dresses done in honeycomb mesh fabrics, tassels swinging in breathtaking unison, fringes and more that made intense details on the pieces crafted to perfection; not a single stray wool was in sight!
Her signature fluid print silk blouses and shirts, laser cord maxi skirts with sheer overlays, boxy tops and dresses were in full display with fashion enthusiasts holding their breath without missing any of the offerings of display, It's no wonder Maki Oh continues to be the preferred brand amongst world's most stylish including FLOTUS Michelle Obama, Solange Knowles and more.
