Launch of website to inspire, empower Nigerian women

A new website, www.womenofrubies.com, has been launched for the inspiration and empowerment of Nigerian women both home and in Diaspora.

Women of Rubies (WoR) is a capacity building and inspirational website focused on celebrating the giant strides of women in the society. The website seeks to educate, inform, inspire and motivate Nigerian, and African women at large, to be the best they can be and contribute positively towards nation building. One of the brilliant features of the website is that it tells the peculiar tales of the everyday African woman. From the passionate woman who sells Akara in the neighborhood to the sophisticated CEO, Women of Rubies tells recognizable stories from a human interest point of a view.

According to Esther Ijewere Kalejaiye, Founding Editor, "Our vision for Women of Rubies is that it becomes the foremost platform for the inspiration, building and elevation of women of substance in Nigeria and Africa. We will also be providing information to women who desire to start their own businesses, non-profits and other community development initiatives. Women are pivotal to the emergence of a better society and, as such, there is a continual need to highlight the achievements of the successful women and provide useful information to other women who desire to be great and make a difference in the world."

The website was officially on Saturday, 12th December, 2015 and it promises to be a potpourri of empowering content focused on developing the contemporary African woman. Visit the website here: www.womenofrubies.com
