Coke Studio Africa Premiere: M.I Abaga, DJ Jimmy Jatt And More, Celebrate African Music (Photos)

The first episode of ‘Coke Studio Africa’ premiered on Friday, October 4 at Genesis Deluxe Cinemas and in attendance were celebrities such as, MI Abaga, Cool DJ Jimmy Jatt, Joseph Benjamin, Iyanya and Pryse.

Also at the premiere were the Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Oare Ojeikere, the Senior Brand Manager, Coca-Cola, Otome Oyo, and Olufemi Ashipa, the Brand Manager, Colas.

A Coca-Cola initiative, ‘Coke Studio Africa’ brings together some of Africa’s most exciting and respected acts together in a studio setting to create cutting-edge music fusions. These artists will get to remake some of their most popular hits through unconventional, new sounds.

Season 1 of the show features some of Africa’s music legends including King Sunny Ade, Salif Keita, and renowned acts like MI Abaga, Bez, Waje, Hip Hop Pantsula.
