Hairstyles used to creative (and so elaborate, Oh my!) the days of thread twisting with jaw dropping hairstyles, that were cool at the time woven into sky high styles; the 'patewo's', 'shuku', 'police cap', the days when we has styles (hairstyles) picked out for us in school?

Looking back it's amazing how much work went into those hairstyles, carefully threading, weaving, twisting, setting to form a pattern and eventually packing it in a way to 'form' the particular style we wanted! (Oh wow)
These days, the styles are left for theatrical performances/TV/Magazine Covers etc or for some who dare to be different.. The trend has been overshadowed by weaves, haircuts and braids of all kinds.
