Canadian model's skin breaks down barriers of what is considered beautiful

Check out the unique model who is inspiring the world to change its definition of beauty and taking the fashion industry by storm

Meet the young Canadian model, Chantelle Winnie, who is the It girl of diversity in a world used to a certain form of beauty and skin color.

She was diagnosed with Vitiligo, a chronic skin disease that causes white patches to appear across the body and affects up to two million Americans, the same skin disorder Michael Jackson had, at the tender of four, and has overcame bullying and years of rejection in order to achieve her dream of becoming an international model.

The 19-year-old was discovered by Tyra Banks on social media after she had been rejected by every modelling agency in Toronto for TV reality show "America's Next Top Model".

Though she was booted off the show in 2014, Tyra Banks is clearly a huge inspiration and the two have remained close with the ex-model saying,"You were already a star. I just gave you a platform to make sure people recognized that you were. Keep making me proud."

While things are good with her now with her being the new face of Desigual, muse of both famed photographer Nick Knight and London designer, Ashish and one of the models for fall/autumn 2015 New York Fashion Week, it certainly has not been an easy journey for the bubbly model as she has been compared to a Cheetah, Cow but has learned to ignore and focus on the positive which is that her skin condition has made her career and become a symbol for diversification and progression and her bank account is huge.

She has become a spokeswoman for Vitiligo, and has learned to be proud of who she is as she says she could even label herself as a spokeswoman for happiness, she doesn't dwell on bad things in her past and her message to young girls is: "Focus on your opinion of yourself and not the opinion others have of you."

Her opinion on fitting into preconceived notions of beauty is "there is beauty in everything."

I hope we can all learn from this young lady's perspective and not limit our opinions on beauty and life in general  to only accepted notions.

Check out her stunning pictures from her recent photo shoot with Observer Magazine.
