These were the most stunning beauty looks of the night

MUA's were out in full force for the AMVCA awards but these ladies nailed the beauty looks of the night.

If you want to look red carpet ready like , there's a lot that goes into it. Here are a few red-carpet make-up tricks that you need to know if you want t get on their level.

It Takes a Long Time

There’s a huge amount of pressure that comes with standing in front of hundreds of cameras so of course, celebrities put themselves through gruelling glam sessions to make sure that they looks are just right. Red carpet glam typically takes at least 2 hours with every brush stroke, lash and highlight perfectly in place.

Coordination is Everything

The delicate dance between makeup, hair and fashion is something we should always take into consideration during the red carpet events. MUA's tend to use complimentary colours, once they see what their client will be wearing, they try their best to do a look that compliments it.

Products Matter

And since camera lighting can be very harsh and unforgiving, the makeup artists has to be very careful with the products that they choose. A great technique is to create a blur effect on the skin by adding layers of coverage and not using as much powders, since they don't promote that healthy-looking, dewy glow.

The overall goal of any red carpet look is to make it look as natural as possible, albeit the amount of products being used is extensive, to say the least.
