5 uncommon ways to aid sleep

Because stress, pollution etc has made sleep a bit difficult for some people these simple ways work to make sure of a good night sleep!

Lifestyle changes, daily living, work and hustling really don't leave time to get quality sleep anymore but it's important to get as much as needed to get the body to function as often as possible.

Before now, studies proposed nine hours of sleep for the body (which has become some sort of luxury) but at least everyone should have an average of five to six hours often to get the body to refresh in order to keep it in top shape.

Because stress, pollution etc has made sleep a bit difficult for some people these simple ways work to make sure they come without stress:

1. Combine Magnesium and Calcium at night (200mg Magnesium + 600mg Calcium)

They are both sleep boosters and are only effective when used together and the risk of a heart attack as a result taking calcium alone is also reduced. It's best to work with your personal physician before using this combination as a sleep aid.

2. Use Lavender

Lavender works well to induce sleep. Studies reveal real lavender aids a good night rest and because they are non-toxic (real lavender) there are usually no side effects.

Spray lavender in the room just before sleep and spray on the pillow and areas on the bed to drift into a peaceful slumber.

3. Yoga and Meditation

Actively work on relaxing the body with yoga/meditation to allow the body rest enough to 'shut down'. Making yoga a habit comes handy to help the body drift to sleep peacefully.

When ready to sleep at night, close your eyes for about 10 minutes thinking about nothing/leaving the mind blank hearing only your own breathing pattern till the body drifts to sleep. This helps you fall asleep faster and peacefully.

4. Create a peaceful air in the room

A clean, clear and serene room makes sleep easier. De clutter the room if you have to, keep room clean and airy and free of unnecessary items to create an area that makes sleep come easy.

5. Be active during the day

Try to be as active as possible during the day, there are chances that if you move around more during the day, the body will shut itself down making sleep come easier at night as against barely moving/lazy all day which does nothing really for the body.
