Xenophobia South African man shoots Nigerian to death for separating quarrel

A Nigerian man in South Africa has been shot dead by an indigene of that country for breaking up a fight.

A 37-year-old Nigerian, Dewunmi Oladele, has been shot to death by a South African man because he settled a quarrel between the assailant and another person at the night club where he works as a bouncer in Pretoria, on Monday, May 8.

According to information, Oladele who is married with two kids, had broken up a fight that broke out between the man and another person and could have caused destruction in the club but as he was going back to his duty post, the aggrieved assailant brought out a gun and fired shots at him at close range.

While Oladele reportedly died on the spot, the shooter calmly walked out of the club and made his way to the police station where he handed himself in.
