The need to stay objective at all times

Uti Nwachukwu and Molara Wood's are both wrong because they lost the plot by not being objective.

Uti Nwachukwu

Uti Nwachukwu who was mentioned in that tweet responded, and before you could say 'tweet fight' things had gotten out of control. From bleaching, Uti's sense of fashion and dreadlocks were mentioned.

The 'Jara' presenter did not take Molara Wood's tweets lightly and called her "a bitter black angry woman" in need of mind blowing sex.

People pitched their tents on both sides but it must be said that Uti Nwachukwu and Molara Wood are both wrong.

Let's start with Uti. It was really wrong for him to call Molara Wood an angry black woman in need of orgasms because she was expressing her views on a particular topic. Women have a right to express themselves without a man belittling their opinions as some manifestation of lack of good sex or emotional troubles. No one yells "you need good sex" at men who offer differing opinions so why do so to women?

Uti Nwachukwu might have felt angry and hurt, but that doesn't mean mocking the opinion of a woman and blaming it on her sexual urges is a cool thing to do. In certain parts of the world, there would have been a huge backlash.

As for Molara Wood, she could have made her point without touching on Uti's dress sense or his intelligence. Just stick to the point at hand, colourism which is a big issue in Nigeria. There was no need to drag the way Uti dresses into it. Sometimes when you deviate from the topic and address personal aspects of a person it comes off as petty. And what was that tweet about dread locked men selling booty all about? To be respected, you have to treat people with respect.

Overall, this is a lesson of how people should be objective. Deal with the issue at hand and leave personal life and sex out of the matter.
