Landlord confirms Ibadan lawyer indeed murdered husband
The landlord, who is part of the witnesses at the court revealed that the suspect stabbed her husband during an argument.
It was alleged that the accused in the murder case stabbed her husband to death when she learnt that he had impregnated another woman.
The prosecution counsel in the case presented three witnesses at the court, and the landlord, Chief Akinpelu Adelodun, was one of them.
Adelodun, who testified at the Oyo State High Court said that he tried to intervene in an argument that ensued between the couple, but Yewande had insisted that she will inflict injuries on her husband.
This continued till the next day, February 2, 2016, when the victim was murdered.
She has been held at the Agodi Prison, Ibadan since the day of the crime.
Adewale Amos, a police prosecutor on the case had earlier revealed that the suspect stabbed her husband by the neck.
This happened at their residence located in 30, Abidi Odan Street, Akobo, Ibadan, Daily Post News reports.
