Cook bags 2 months in jail for skipping police custody
A Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court has sentenced a cook to two months in jail for escaping police custody.
The sentence was handed down to the accused, Yakubu Mohammed, by a Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court, on Monday, October 31, Vanguard reports.
The presiding judge, Mr Garba Ogbede, in his judgment, said that there was no other option but to sentence the convict accordingly since he pleaded guilty to the allegation against him.

However, Ogbede gave an option of fine in the sum of N10,000 to the convict, warning him to be on his best behaviour and to avoid committing any other crimes upon his release.
