The suspect, Amos Ojo, allegedly collected the sum on the pretext of executing a project, Punch reports.
Ojo was admitted to bail in the sum of N300,000 by an Ikeja Magistrates Court which granted the accused two sureties in like sum.
Punch reports that Ojo of Waheed Ogunseye Street, Meiran, on the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Expressway, faced a two count charge of obtaining money under false pretence and stealing.

“The accused collected N800,000 from a man, Muyiwa Awoleku, to execute a project for him.”
According to him, the offences contravened Sections 285 and 312 (a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The case was adjourned until November 14 for mention by the Magistrate, Mrs L. Y Balogun.
