Social Media celebrity, Adam Saleh, posted a video of himself narrating the events of what happened on the flight. Apparently, he had been speaking to his mum on the phone when passengers around him started complaining.
Social media celebrity gets kicked off plane after 'speaking Arabic'
Adam Saleh was kicked off the plane after his co-passengers complained and told him to "shut the fuck up".
"Delta airlines kicked us out for speaking Arabic to my mom on a plane," Saleh said on Twitter.
The original tweet has been retweeted almost 400,000 times at the time of publishing this. Reposts by other people on Twitter have gotten thousands of rewteets too.
In the clip:
"We're getting kicked out because we spoke a different language. This is 2016. Delta airlines are kicking us out because we spoke a different language."
He also said to a passenger:
"I spoke a word [of Arabic], and you said you feel uncomfortable?"
Adam's friend, Slim Albaher, was also removed from the plane. They were later re-scheduled on another flight.
How did the Management of Delta Airlines respond?
The airlines said on their website:
"Two customers were removed from this flight and later rebooked after a disturbance in the cabin resulted in more than 20 customers expressing their discomfort."
Adam, who has over 1.5 million subscribers on and about 257,000 followers on Twitter, said on Twitter that he will be seeing a lawyer as soon as he gets to New York.
