Kenya man storms church to collect Sh200,000 loan wife gave as tithe

An angry man in Kenya stormed a church and asked them to return the money his wife paid as tithe.

An angry man does not joke with his money

An angry Kenyan man, Geoffrey Odhiambo, caused a stir when he stormed a church service demanding that the Sh200,000 (about N389,000) his wife gave as her tithe was a loan he took from a bank for his business and that the money should be returned to him.

Nairobi News reports that members of the Jesus Elevation Tabernacle Church in Kisumu were thrown into a shock as Odhiambo narrated that he had used his car as collateral for the loan that his wife used without his consent.

Witnesses said the woman told the pastor that she gave the money as 'tithe for prayers as there were evil spirits and devils in her house'.

A member of the church said Odhiambo complained it was not the first time the woman had taken his money to the church without asking him.

It took male ushers more than 10 minutes to eject Odhiambo from the midday service moments before the police arrived after he reported the matter at Kisumu Central police station.
