'My wife has turned me into an object of mockery since I lost my job'

My name is and though I am a Ghanaian, I have live in Nigeria for more than 30 years and I am married to a Nigerian woman, . We have four children and things were rosy for us when I was still working and making good money.

But three years ago, and all my efforts to get another one has proven difficult, so now, I make do with some menial jobs to take care of my family. And that was when my wife showed me her true colour as she has turned me into an object of mockery.

Wunmi has even turned my children against me as they side her whenever she is talking me down. When I was working, I opened a restaurant for her, and with the loss of my job, I expected her to be able to support the home but the reverse is the case. My wife has refused to contribute a dime to the upkeep of the home, telling me that in Nigeria, men are supposed to take care of their families no matter the condition.

Even when I go to the restaurant to eat, my wife tells me I have to pay for the meals. She humiliates me in front of her customers and recently, I heard she has been sleeping around with a senior police officer who patronises her. She even threatened to get the police to arrest me and lock me up if I refuse to pay for anything I eat in her restaurant.

I am fed up of this kind of life and don't know what to do. Is there any help out there?
