54-yr-old man arrested for defiling 13-yr-old girl

A serial rapist in Niger State has been arrested after he abducted a 13-year-old girl and raped her repeatedly.

Rape is becoming a daily crime

A 54-year-old man based in Zuma Rock Village, Madalla, Niger State, identified simply as Nasiru, has been arrested by the vigilante group in the area while in the process of raping a 13-year-old girl.

The randy old man was nabbed by the group after he lured the girl who was hawking banana for her mother, to an uncompleted building on the pretext of buying off the banana from her and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

After he was through with her, he refused to let her go, probably resting with the motive of going at her again.

An eye witness narrated how the randy man who is married with three wives was caught.

"The girl normally gets home from her rounds of hawking before 6pm but on that day, when she did not return after 7pm, her parents became worried and reported the issue to the vigilante group.

It was in the process of searching for the girl that members of the vigilante group saw her inside an uncompleted building half naked with the man guarding the place, maybe he was resting with the intention of raping her again.

In fact, it was through the help of one of the residents, whose house was very close to the place that we located the place. He said he saw the time the man when he called the girl to bring banana and when we quickly rushed there, we saw him half naked and arrested him on the spot.

He has been handed over to the police at Madalla Police Station before the mob could descend on him.”

It was further gathered that it was not the first time the Nasiru would be caught defiling a minor as he was early caught in the act early this year raping yet another hawker and was saved by the village elders from being lynched.
