For allegedly stealing 300 litres of diesel worth N578,400, a 64-year-old man, Adeyemi Adeleke, was on Thursday charged before an Ota Magistrate’s Court in Ogun.

Adeleke, whose address is unknown, is facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ebibomino Itaita, told the court that the accused and others still at large, committed the offence on Oct. 25 at about 3.00 a.m. at Precious Pee Filling Station, Atan, Ota.

He said that the offence contravened Sections 390 and 516 of Criminal Code, Vol.1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.

Ojikutu said that the sureties must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court and should be gainfully employed.

He also ordered that the sureties should swear to an affidavit of means and produce evidence of tax payment from Ogun Government.

In addition, the sureties should submit four passport photographs to the court and their addresses should be verified by the Police.
