Also referred to as the Islamic State, the militant group has been a subject of worldwide rage due to the atrocities it has committed in the middle-east, chiefly Iraq.

It has declared autonomy over some parts of Iraq and has successfully maintained a stand-off in the regions.

The US, France, Russia and some European countries have formed a coalition force in a bid to subdue the power of ISIS, who is now responsible for many deaths in the region.

It has violated human rights using what the group terms as their way of dispensing justice for crimes against the Islamic State.

Both the young and the old are now victims of the group's ferocity, recently beheading a boy for listening to western music.
