Family of a PDP chieftain arrested by DSS cries out
The family members of a PDP chieftain arrested and detained by the DSS without charge has cried out over his long incarceration.
Gbadamosi, a former PDP governorship aspirant in Lagos State, was arrested and detained on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, after he honored a verbal invitation by the DSS following his criticism of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
According to his wife, Sade, the security operatives arrested her husband for his fierce anti-government views and has been detained since then without being charged to a court.
Speaking on Channels TV on the arrest and detention of her husband for over a week now, Mrs. Gbadamosi said her husband was detained shortly after his arrival at the Lagos field office of the secret police before he was transferred to Abuja about two hours later, and that was the last time the family heard anything from him.
Mrs. Gbademosi had said in the interview:
“They came to arrest him without any warrant. So I did not let them into the estate. I told them he will visit them instead. So we went. He was arrested immediately arrest without charges and he was then bundled to Abuja.”
Now one of the sons of Gbadamosi, a London-based Disc Jockey, has taken to his Twitter account to launch a campaign for the release of his father.
Tweeting with the username @DjfeMO, the young man who said he and the family had been calling the number the DSS men gave them with no response, wonders what has become of his father as no one seems to know his whereabouts.
