Your life does not change on January 1st
You need to stop thinking that your life will automatically change once we step into 2017.
With the happiness and joy that comes when celebrating a new year comes the self-delusion that your life is starting on a blank slate. Sorry, it's not.
Unplug yourself from that matrix called social media. On January 1, 2017, your life isn't brand new. You are not going to stop making bad decisions because it's a new year. You are not hitting the gym regularly because you made life goals for 2017.
The bitter truth is that you are not going to be a better person this year. As a matter of fact, chances are that you are still going to be the same old you, made up of imperfections and filled with complexities. You are still going to smash your ex and you are still not going to hit your goals if you believe a new year is an automatic reset button.
This is what you should know. Time is infinite. Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years are concepts created by man to measure time. Time is all about the power of NOW. In reality, there is no difference between today and tomorrow. There is nothing special about a day because it is all about now. Time is now.
Trying to change your life is not a bad thing. We all want to be better people but if you are waiting for January 1st to change your life you have lost the plot. The best time to change your life is now and that is the true power of time. You should be operating in now and not in man made time demarcations.
When you try and improve your life starting from New Year's Day you are procrastinating and this means you are killing yourself. You see even if time is infinite, but your time in this world is not infinite. This is why you should work in 'now' and not in days. You have a limited amount of time in this world. When you procrastinate, you are reducing the time you have in this world and also you are not achieving your goals.
Forget about New Year's Day or any watch night service before you start a whole new life. The time for you to do that is now. If you someone is making you unhappy, cut him off now. If you want to be fit, start now. What if you die on December 31st, 2016?
