‘We Had Sex Before Coming Here’- Wife tells court

The woman told the Lagos court that she and her husband were still very much in love and as such they should not be separated

Witnesses to a divorce suit instituted at the Ejigbo Customary Court in Lagos were left in shock after the wife stated that there was nothing wrong with their marital union.

Mariam Jimoh told the court that her 10-year-old marriage to husband, Sunday could not be dissolved because they were still living together and even sleeping on the same bed.

The wife went further to say that they had engaged in sexual intercourse as husband and wife before arriving the court that morning.

She said:

“Where does he want me to go after two kids and the sacrifices I have made for 10 years to keep the relationship?”

The husband on his own part said that he was tired of the union because Mariam’s parents were never in support of it.

The case was adjourned to enable the parties settle amicably out of court
