Husband Killer ‘Goes Dumb’ In Court

14-year-old Wasila Tasi who allegedly killed her husband and three others in April did not speak a word in court despite being questioned by the presiding judge

The Gezawa High Court in Kano was the scene of a mild drama as a teenage girl accused of killing her husband and three others went “dumb” during her trial.

14-year-old Wasila Tasi who allegedly committed the crime in April did not speak a word in court despite being questioned by the presiding judge.

Her silence nearly caused confusion in the court until the judge was forced to enter a plea of “not guilty” on her behalf, Vanguard reports.

Wasila is alleged to have fed rat poison to her husband and three of his friends because she was fed up with being married.

She has been returned to a remand home and the case has been adjourned to November 26 and 27.
