The front runner of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign, Obiageli Ezekwesili was detained this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Dr. Ezekwesili, who was on her way to London to appear on the BBC Hard Talk programme, disclosed details of the incident via her Twitter handle @obyezeks.

The former minister was prevented from boarding her flight and almost missed it due to her passport being seized by officers of the State Security Service (SSS).

She was eventually released and was able to make the flight.
