To be directed by Singer, the untitled adventure series will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
The pilot episode will be written by Matt Nix, who will also serve as an Executive Producer alongside Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

The upcoming TV series is the first co-production of 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television. Fox has had success in the DC comic book genre with “Gotham” and “Lucifer.”
The latest "X-Men" movie titled "X-Men: Apocalypse" was released on May 27, 2016. The ninth instalment in the X-Men film series, "Apocalypse" is currently the third highest-grossing film in the series, following "Deadpool" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
There have been no further details on the upcoming TV series which just received a pilot order from Fox.
